Passion City and the Atlanta Symphony

Passion City Church is in downtown Atlanta. We’ve been there on occasion, but my family regularly attends a church closer to home. Passion City and it’s pastor, Louie Giglio, have an astounding world-wide influence and impact. Part of the reason for that, I believe, is they have an amazingly creative staff that honors God with spectacular worship events—and they have found a way to channel that focus to God’s Glory—and not a hint of their own.

On Mother’s Day this year they teamed up with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra—properly socially-distanced within their empty worship hall as you will see—and staged the playing of The Blessing. It is the most gripping rendition of music and worship I have ever witnessed. When I listen to the music, and the power of God’s Spirit in the lyrics, I can’t breathe, my eyes fill with tears . . . and I’m flooded with emotion and thanksgiving that I am a sheep in Christ’s flock.
