Metamorphyx Goes International

What Happened to the Metamorphyx Blogs?

I’ve been asked that question many times in recent months. Truth be told, I took a break over the winter and early spring . . . and then I waltzed into two knee replacement surgeries in June and October. My gait no longer has that windswept bias to the right . . . and wow! I’ve added five-eighths of an inch of height to my frame from the procedure! Hoping you’ll re-engage with me heading into the 2021 Christmas Season.

That’s the awesome skyline of Hong Kong that you’re looking at above. It’s one of the main offices of New Reader Magazine. They’re also represented in NYC and the Philippines. NRM contacted me late last year with an interest to promote Metamorphyx to their international audience. My response? “Hmmm, I think Metamorphyx is an outlier to NRM’s eclectic readers and artists . . . and far removed from their culture. Do you really think your reader’s are interested in life experience, life change and the spiritual component of life purpose?”

“Mostly true,” they said, “but in these times, our readers are looking for encouragement, meaning and fulfillment in their lives . . . and we believe Metamorphyx: Embracing Life Experience, Life Change, and Life Purpose offers that. We’d like you to write four short blog pieces summarizing key themes of your book, and we’ll post them on our international web site. We think Metamorphyx could be a refreshing alternative to our audience. We’ll also feature Metamorphyx in our magazine.”

If you’ve not read Metamorphyx or are unsure of its focus and themes, take a few minutes—along with NRM readers from around the world—and read the first NRM blog, Beginnings and Endings: The Message of Metamorphyx. It’s practical wisdom for life and the choices we face in these turbulent times.

There are three more short blogs coming your way before year end; the second before Thanksgiving and two in early December. Stay tuned . . . and let me know what you think.

May God bless you and your family as we head into Thanksgiving and the Holy Season of Advent.
